Juicy Gluten-Free Beef Burgers
A lighter, oil-free twist on the classic burger. Made with gluten-free buns and lean beef, this recipe delivers full flavor with a smarter nutritional profile — perfect for anyone who wants a healthier burger without sacrificing taste.

Bun Ingredients (makes 2):
1 egg
80 ml plant-based milk of choice
130 g Schär B gluten-free flour
½ tsp dry gluten-free yeast
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
10 g olive oil
Meat Ingredients (makes 2):
400 g ground beef (lean round is recommended)
Ground paprika
Salt
Toppings:
2 slices of vegan cheese (per burger)
20 g vegan light mayonnaise (per burger)
Vegetables of choice
Preparation
To make these juicy, oil-free burgers, start by preparing the bun dough. Combine all bun ingredients in a bowl and mix well, then let the dough rest for about 1 hour. If you have a bread machine, simply add all ingredients and select the dough program. After resting, knead the dough briefly by hand. If it still feels too soft, add about 10 g more flour.
Divide the dough into two equal portions, shape into balls, then gently press them with your palm to flatten slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
Season the ground beef with salt and ground paprika, mix well, and form two balls. Flatten them gently by hand into burger patties. Place them in an air fryer at 200°C for 13 minutes (if baked in a conventional oven, they should be cooked for 17–20 minutes at 200°C). During the last 3 minutes, add the vegan cheese on top so it melts slightly..
Once everything is ready, slice the buns in half, add the patty with melted cheese, your favorite toppings, and enjoy.
With around 600 calories and 48 g of protein per burger, this meal fits easily into any fitness-focused nutrition plan.
